    It's Tuesday here M.

It's an okay Tuesday, you know, the day after Monday, day before Wednesday, same old, same old. ;)

Sydney had a friend over, she's afraid of dogs. This is not a good house to come to if you're afraid of dogs, after all, we have 3, albeit friendly, but 3!

By the way, had a dream with you in it, nothing bad, we just talked on the phone after all the bad stuff. By the way, your voice sounds nothing like I thought. ;)

You didn't have an accent and I couldn't stop asking you why. You kept saying "what did you expect, Mel Gibson?" I guess I was. ;)

Then we got cut off and some obnoxious a$$ called me back claiming he was your secretary and that he needed to go over my other files with me. Huh?

I told him that the call was a personal matter and to mind his own business, he didn't like that.

It was a weird dream.

OMG, my son just had a teenage hissy fit. I don't know if I handled it very well.

    Info:

Jared stayed home from school today because he said he had a tummy ache. No amount of persuading could get him out of bed so I told him he could stay home, but, no Xbox, no Wii and no friend over after school. He agreed.

Well, two days ago we arranged for Sydney to have a friend come over after school today, Sydney went to school so the friend got to come over.

Jared's mad, doesn't think it's fair, wants to have his friend over, I said no.

Well, this has been going on for 2 hours now, he's been moping in his room and every 15 minutes or so he comes out to show us how miserable he is. He even refused to eat dinner.

Anyway, I went to let the dogs out and have a smoke (we smoke in the garage) and Jared came in and started whining about his life and how much today sucks. I'd had enough, told him to cut it out, go downstairs find a book to read or watch some TV (which is allowed) and stop whining. His response "I can leave this house whenever I want you know!" and he slammed the door.

I didn't know whether to laugh (hysterically) or cry. He's 10! I thought I had a few more years before this kind of drama came into the Altenweg home.

So, at a loss for words, I went inside and asked him if he needed a suitcase, he said no. I asked where he was planning on sleeping tonight, he told me not to worry about it. I informed him that his friends weren't an option because their parents would be forced to call the cops, so that left the streets or a cardboard box, so he might want to pack some extra clothes, it's winter. He looked so darn mad, so I went for what I hoped would change his mind. What will you eat? I don't care, I'm not hungry. You'll never be hungry again? No! Grrrr, darnit, why do I have to have myself for a 10 year old? Stubborn!

So, seeing as my plan was failing miserably Wiggy and I sat in the family room, which is connected to the front foyer, and started talking about all the times we pulled the "I'm leaving!" stunt. We talked about what our parents said to us and the fact that they never really bought it, they new we would come back. We also talked about how much we'd miss Jared if he left.

All the while Jared is listening quietly. So, I finally said "Jared, it will be dark soon, if you're going to leave you better go now so you can find a place to sleep tonight." Bingo, he caved.

    What if he hadn't?

Kids! I'm going to go grey because of this lad. :(

    What's a bwoddy? I'm a bit scared.

Here's some medicine, it will clear you right up. You'll be going to the bathroom a lot, but no worries, it's completely harmless. Really! :)
