Condo Association foreclosure sale occurred Jan. 23.

From what I understand... a Certificate of Sale is filed then the Sheriff comes & places a 24 Hour Notice to Vacate. After 24 hours they will physically remove me from the property.

Questions:

1. Is there a method of delaying the filing of the Cert. of Sale for 12 weeks? (when my new apartment will be available?). The Association has already stated they will NOT assist me in this. SO, can I approach the court once the Notice to Vacate has been placed & appeal for an emergency 2 weeks?? (Lease & confirmation of new home is secured).

2. How backed up is the Pinellas Sheriff in serving & enforcing physical evictions? WHEN can I expect the magical sticker to appear on the door?

I need to place my cat & store my stuff until I can take possession of my new home but have NO clue how to plan for this as I can get NO information from any authority in Pinellas.

You file a motioin for a hearing on the eviction, once approved by the judge it could take time to get to court. I am sure a local attorney will know some reasons that are common there.
