I want to start my own Livery Service
I am wondering where to start... I would like to start my own livery service. I am not sure where to start. I know I have to get bonded and insured but how do I go about doing that? Should I meet with a CPA or an insurance agent? Does anyone the first steps to take?

    Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks,
    :)

    Hi, bigcel42!

I fixed the spelling for you! Meeting with a CPA would be a very good thing to do to make sure that you're off on the right foot to start your business.

Is this concerning a uniform service or that which concerns horses or transportation of some kind, please?

    Thanks!

    Hello big:

The modern day livery business is made up of mostly of owner operators. If THAT'S what you want to do, go buy a Towncar and a black suit. Then find a find car service that is hiring.

If it something else, please explain. You're not talking about storing horses, are you??

I'm interested, as well. Came across this site researching the livery business. I have been driving for a company for the last couple weeks and love it. I feel I can do this myself AND do a better job.

    Any advice?

    Hello N:

Sure. If your company allows you to have personal business, then print up some business cards, and hit some hotels, and business's. When you have developed enough business to support yourself, buy a Towne Car and go for it.
