Remove the aerator ,(see image) and soak it in bleach for 10 minutes. With the aerator removed does the water still smell? Let me know, Tom

I soaked aerator in bleach. Since odor is sporadic, I have to give it some time.

Chikaalee I saw on a new re post you did and you were having troubles trying to private message to speedball 1 I did not add to that post out of the respect to you and speedball 1 SO here is how to post private to him. Look for a speedball posted answers anywhere on the site. Put your arrow on the "speedball 1" and click a window will open to send a private message tell him boat 21 sent you ha ha! This should work. Chick, I located and merged your posts. With the aerator removed does the water still smell? What does "sporadic" mean? Does it come and go? Is there a certain time the smell's worse? Pump or city water? Tell me more about this smell. Does it smell musty? Like Sulfer or sewer gas? Give me some details to work with. Tom

"Sporadic" is a couple times each day. With aerator removed waters sprayed in all directions, but coincidentally did not smell. Aerator is only a few months old

You have given me a "reddie" for asking questions. What do you find "unfavorable" about that? And when you bsoaked the aerator iin bleach and reinstalled it do you still have the smell? Tom

Soaking the aerator in bleach didn't work. The smell comes and goes. There's no

This puzzles me. If it were bacteria it should smell all the time. Are you sure that you're not smelling gas from the drain or overflow? Can you fill a glass and strill smell it?" Back to you, Tom

Have you tried simply replacing the aerator? Tom
