    Child visitiation
Does an ex wife have the right to walk through a fathers apartment prior to letting 11 and 15 year old stay on overnight visititations. I have just moved to a new apartment, I have never been in trouble do not do drugs and there is no reason for her to be suspicious other then she is just nosey... we have only been divorced for 6 months and I moved from one location to a new location... better area and new apartment...

I don't know the legalities of it, but if those were my kids, I would want to know if you had a girlfriend staying over (women's clothes and makeup lying around). If I had serious trust issues with you, I'd be looking for other stuff too. Also, my kids would know to call me anytime 24/7 if anything weird was going on.

No she has no such right and if you want to you can deny her coming into your home. The only way she would gain that right is to take you to court over it and that's not likely unless there is some threat that isn't declared at this time. And so long as you have court ordered visitation then she can't withhold the children from you without facing contemp of court charges.

The legality of it is that she doesn't have a right. As for you/her wanting to know about a GF staying over, its none of your/her business and trying to use visitation and your kids to investigate is reprehensible and sets a very bad precedent for future dealings with your ex.

No she has not such right and in fact if or if not there is a girl friend staying over is none of the ex wife's business.

He is allowed to have a girl friend over if he wants, he could introduce her to the ex. In fact he can refuse to allow her into the home, merely meet her at the car, My ex and I exchange the kids in the drive way.
