I lived in Florida, Can a past tenant take me to court if I didn't claim his security
Deposit, in the 15 or 30 days that says law, He left without returning keys of apartment, completely dirty, never give me the address where he was moving, he was suppost to move out on the 30 of October, but it was the 3 of November and in a phone call with my husband told him that he was to busy, but he was going to clean the apartment, he never did or call to give keys, (it doesn't say in our agreement that he has to returned keys) but isn't that when you leave you have to returned keys? I told my husband by de 5 or 10 we should just change locks and start fixing the place and cleaning in order to rent.
On December 9 he calls my husband and ask him for his security deposit, and my husband says we will give it to him but we didn't have an address, he says that he has his mail forward to the new address, so we deduct cleaning and changing locks, and send him a certified letter the next day, he now send us a letter wanting all his security deposit, saying that he left in perfect condition the apartment, and that we didn't follow the Florida law in returning the security, I have pictures of how he left the place not even a pig would like to live like that, should I tell him that I'm not paying him for the cleaning and changing locks or should I give him the money if you don't thing I will win in court
    Thank you so much

You tell him you took pictures and that if he wants to take you to court you will gladly take the pictures and an itemized copy of the deductions from his security deposit.
He most likely thinks you didn't bother to think to take pictures and figured he could pull something on you.

Should be combined - keep the letter that came back as proof that you attempted to return his deposit before you did - when you got a valid address.
