    Rant time!

I posted an ad on a public site where I live for a dog walker for Niki. I explained that I am on a very limited budget right now because of my back and hip, so I wouldn't be able to afford much, but I would try and be fair.

I got a response right away from a wonderful girl. She took Niki to the dog park everyday with her two dogs, and exercised them all. She just happened to be almost 9 months pregnant, when she first started coming. I was shocked that she still wanted to take Niki. She even took her dogs and Niki up steep hills for an extra work out! On top of that... she refused to take a dime from me! She's definitely getting a nice C'mas gift from me and Niki. She just had her baby a week ago, so won't be coming for a bit, but says it won't be long until she's at it again.

Then a teenager offered to walk Niki in the eves. Although she sometimes doesn't come when she says she will (teens, lol) she still does come. She only asked for $10-15 a week. and that is when she walks Nik every night. (although I have pd her a little more because it's C'mas) The time usually varies from a half hr. to actually 3 hrs. one time. She came tonight and walked her for about 20 minutes or so... but it was freakin -40! It's damn cold! But she was bundled up good, and wanted to take Nik.

So now to the rant! I just got another message. From a girl who said she would be happy to take Niki, because she takes her kids out on walks all of the time, and lives right near me. So I thought, well a spare is always good too, so I wrote her back and said that would be great, and I gave her my phone #. She msg'd me back, and said she could walk Niki 3 morns a week. but would like to bring her kids over for about an hr. first to meet Niki, and then she started talking price. She said she thought a fair price would be $25 dollars a WALK! Are you KIDDING ME? I hope she would be taking Niki on 6 hr walk! I could put Niki in doggie daycare for $14 a day for 8 hrs. and they are walked two or three times, played with when they aren't sleeping, they play games with them and teach them things, and they feed them with their own food! If I was working outside of my home I would have considered that for Niki. But $25 dollars a day for probably not more than an hr? Is that not INSANE?? Geez, some people!

All right... my rant... (blame it on the lack of caffeine... )

I love texting as much as the next person... I admit I'm addicted to it. BUT GOLLY!! Come ON people! Why do you think that texting an ex is going to make it better? If anything else, texting makes it worse! Rah...

Sorry - I was going to ask a question about it, but felt that the rant would be better.

I feel much better. Thank you, all!

    Starby, how you be?

    OH big rant for today.

I got this call from the anesthesiologists office asking about my 'wife's' call to the doctor about this condition that runs in the family?? It's called malignant hypothermia,I have never heard of it.And to boot,I haven't even SPOKEN to my(ex)wife in over 5 years(not to any extent anyway)And surely not about this surgery for sure!

I was at a total loss as to an explanation.I said that they were misinformed or they had someone else's information put in my case file.

The lady called back a few minutes later and was sure it was for me and that my 'wife' had made the call.NOW I was getting wacked out,to say the least.

She asked if I had any surgeries in the past and did they use general anesthesia?I said yes and yes,but I didn't have any problems with it and don't know why some kind of information like that would be on my records??

Later I descovered it was my mother who called the doctors office,ad she had neglected to tell me... hmmmm.

2 days ago she decided to call the surgeon to tell them dads cousin died on the surgery table from some kind of reaction to the anesthesia called malignant hypothermia,I have never heard of it.(nor had I heard that his cousin had died from it.)

I was a little livid,I said I AM NOT 12 YEARS OLD!YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE CALLED HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE,(that for her to call them I felt was out of line)and secondly,to call when she didn't even tell me this(much less explain the death when it happened 3 years ago, like where the hell was I that she couldn't tell me?? )OK that is a rant for another time... :(

So,upon cooler heads,we discussed the call and her thoughts that it was necessary to tell the doc this possibility was something that should be addressed.OK

The anesthesiologist made a clear statement.IF you have this on your health records,NO INSURANCE COMPANY WILL COVER YOU.The risk of loss of life is apparently enough grounds for a company to deny coverage, forever.

Needless to say,the information(as I played it off being as I really didn't know about any of it being true)I had removed from the statement as misinformation and I clearly stated my last surgery had no complications.

Mom was defensive(as usual, she has to cover her lifestyle of drinking and being on a pain patch,, good mix,, for an alcoholic) :( She pulled the old,But I was worried for you, statement. That got me,I know she cares, but to be such an alarmist over something that hasn't been evident in my past, and is what,4 bloodlines away from mine... sheesh.

OK,I needed to rant and I did.I am antsy, worried about tomorrow but it'll pass(as soon as the pre-op shot is given:) )

Keep me in your thoughts( OK if you must pray do it... lol:) )

I'll be back on in the afternoon(for those who care):p

Oh man Kenster! Now that is a reason for a rant! Holy crap, that is insane! I just can't believe that. I would be furious too! You didn't need that right before your surgery. Your Mom probably meant well, but geez, you could have lost your coverage! I'm also wondering about Dr./Patient confidentiality!

That was not very professional of them at all! They should not be able to give any information out, just because you are a relative, or not at all actually. What were they thinking? They not only didn't know who they were speaking with, they discussed your case with someone who could have been a complete stranger! That would burn my A$$ too!

Of course we will be thinking about you in the morning, and yes, prayers whether you like them or not! :p It will go smoothly I'm certain. Try not to think of the big mix-up, no matter how aggravating it was, and just concentrate on getting better! :)

Rant... rant! Fed Ex is going to drive me nuts! They keep changing pick up times on me! They changed their pick up time from this morn. to later this afternoon, then back to morning, then back to afternoon! Now I just got a call saying they might not make it today, and my overnight pkg won't make it by the morning, because they have closed our hwy's! Okay, maybe my rant should be directed to Mother Nature... but I can't find her number in the book! Of course she has an unlisted number! She just thinks she's all that and a bag of chips doesn't she?!

Ps. Sorry guys... you're not getting your Christmas presents... LOL! (that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!) :p

I'll tell you, it really pisses me off when people rant. RANT RANT RANT! Every where I go, people RANTING about silly crap that means nothing. Nothing I tell you! Ranting cause the dish network guy is late. "My doctor made me wait" Whaa Whaa Whaa! "The Fed Ex driver didn't bring me the useless crap I bought on the internet!" Whaa Whaa Whaa! "Some jerk stopped in the middle of the road just because he had a load of lumber he needed to unload and wanted to back in right in front of me and made me late getting to the mall so I could buy more useless junk that I couldn't find on the internet!" Whaa Whaa Whaa!
"Some old lady walked in front of me at the store slowing me down for 5 seconds!" Whaa Whaa Whaa!
Well you know what? I do all those things to piss people off plus more and I fart in public to boot. So all together now:
    WHAA WHAA WHAA!
