    Lieberman FIRED
    Hello:

I'm just guessing right now, but I'll be he was stripped of ALL his committee chairmanships, and may even be refused entry into the caucus room.

Maybe the Republicans will take him.

A source with knowledge of the situation says that Reid will likely tell Lieberman that he is being stripped of his committee chairs -- a retributive move for the former vice presidential nominee's anti-Obama, anti-Democrat advocacy on behalf of John McCain.
    Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. :)

    Hello NK:

I understand that it wasn't his support of John McCain that did him in. It was his disssing of Obama at the Republican convention.

Lieberman was fired when his own party threw him, their previous VP candidate, under the bus for Ned Lamont. So much for bridging the partisan divide, eh?

It may be a good thing. Joe should really be ready to move to the Republican side now. If that happens, won't that make the Dems look smart?

It just goes to show how vindictive the left wing really is.

Have you? Gal's right, it was the Dems that threw Lieberman under the bus in 2006, and now they're ready to back over him and do it again for having the guts to stand up to his party.

The Republicans will get Lieberman to caucus with and Sen.Schmuck Hagel will bolt to the Dems.

He has a solid Democrat voting record. His only break from them was when they flipped on the Iraq war. Other than that he is as solid a Dem as you can have.

The level that the Democrat party has sunk to makes it nearly impossible for ANYONE to represent it. Remember Zell Miller? He was a conservative Democrat that the party left behind.

Lieberman isn't even a conservative and the party is now too far left for him!

I think Joe would rather sleep well following his conscience. Something few politicians seem to have.
