Gluta-c and amount of vitamin c to take
Hi guys, been using funkymommy glutathione soap for a few weeks now and it's lightening me up,giving me a glowing complexion and lightening old acne scars but not really helping with my new acne so I have decided to try gluta-c glutathione pills from her website too(since I have mild acne and read that glutathione can help reduce acne). So the dosage is 2 capsules/500mg a day regardless of weight.I want to add vitamin c with the glua-c intake to help absorption but I am perplexed as to how much vitamin c mg I should take.Is 1000mg a day too much?Research on internet claims that too much mg of vitamin c a day is not good for the body(can cause kidney stones). And some articles also say no matter how much vitamin c one takes a day,the body uses up what it needs and discards the rest through urine. Now I am confused and not sure what to believe.Trust me, I want to lighten up abit and get rid of my acne but don't want to compromise my health in any way with the amount of vitamin c I take.Ofcourse I know glutathione is safe so no worries on that.

    Question:
1.How much vitamin c mg a day is too much is my first question
2.And if I take vitamin c 1000mg a day with glutathione pills is it a good dosage?

I know probably no one is a doctor in here but would not mind hearing your opinion and advice.thanks guys!

Have you tried getting the answers from funky mommy herself? She's very good on answering questions like this. I should know, because I'm still an avid customer of funkymommy. Email or call her instead of getting mixed advise that may confuse you.

But my personal experience, only use 1000mg/day of vitamin c. Gluta-c already contains vitamin c already. Remember to drink plenty of water, this is the reason why they say you can get kidney stones that is if you don't drink plenty of water. Lol.

Thanks carmen.I will email funky mommy but your answer makes lots of sense to drink prenty of water so as to avoid kidney stones.if you use 1000mg/day with gluta-c then I believe from your personal experience I should not go wrong if I do the same.
