    Trouble starting
I have a Sears Craftsman 4000 lawn tractor with a Kohler Command 14HP OHV engine. I am having a devil of a time getting it started. I have replaced the spark plug, checked the battery and still nothing. It tries to turnover... it just can't quite turn over. A friend of mine suggested I give it a shot of starter fluid. I'm not to sure where though. I have taken the air filter off and I think I shoot it in there.

Is there anyone out there that can help me or has experienced the same problem??

Thanks in advance for your help.

Could be the vavles out of adjustment. This will act similar to a weak battery.
Yes, but I prefer to use carb. Cleaner instead of starter fluid, it does the same thing.
