    Served with summon from credit card company in NC
    I have until 4/25/08 to respond. I have no idea of what to say in a response. Any suggestions? Is bankruptcy the only answer?

    Well, do you owe the debt?
    If so, you need to respond with some explanation of why you are not paying it.
    Your best option would be to try to work out a payment plan prior to going to court.
    Only you and your attorney can decide if bankruptcy is the correct step.

    Please give us a little more information so that we can try to help you? How much debt?
    Is the debt for credit cards or what? How old is the debt? Have you tried to work out a payment plan?
