Can't find odd sized bath spout w/diverter
I have been to a total of six hardware and plumbing stores in my city. They have all told me that I have a very odd shaped bathtub spout. It is bigger that 3/4" and smaller than 1". One guy told me that it must be 7/8" but still couldn't size it with pipes. I have to find this piece cause I need to take showers but everyone has told me I would have a very hard time finding it. Any advice?

Sounds like a delta tub spout (can't be sure, of course, without a picture)...

Take a look at this link to an older post... after click on link, scroll down to post #7 and review the pics... does yours have threaded adapter like the one in pic..

Otherwise, see if you can take a picture of spout and post it at the "go advanced" feature at posting box... OR... have you considered adapting over to a newer tub spout with diverter?? Should not be too hard to adapt over to something that will work for you. Let us know what you think... Mark

I replaced my tub spout which was leaking water when the shower diverter was lifted. The new one leaks just as much. I thought maybe there isn't enough water pressure to seal the diverter. I have another shower with the same spout and it doesn't leak. Could there be a problem somewhere else?
