    Hey Fire house try this link if this is the part that's leaking I think it will help. If I got the wrong part post back and we will take it from there. In this article they suggest using silicone rather than plumbers putty but either will work fine plumbers putty is certainly easier to clean up. I never use pipe dope at least not on baskets but it couldn't hurt hope this helps Good Luck AC
