    Graduation song.
    I have been asked to sing a specific song at a high school graduation in May. I know the song, the melody, and everything, but cannot for the life of me find the sheet music... or the actual title...

    ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

    The song is a rather "older" song. The first line of the chorus is

    "We have a dream for you..."

    It talks about parents watching their children grow and go on. It's a beautiful song - but it won't be pretty if I have to try and remember the lyrics!

    Hey, wow! You sing! That's cool! We have some other things in common! Can you provide any other additional information about the song? Like maybe what time it is from and/or musical style it is written in?

    Hmm... not sure about exact lyrics... basically, it's a song written in the parents perspective to a graduate.. watching them grow up, having a dream for them to be the best they can be, etc.

    It was a late 80's christian/soft rock type "twila paris"ish song... (Does that make sense?)

    Clough - yes, I sing too. :) Play piano, community theatre, write books, love Broadway, literature, Shakespeare, etc. etc. :)

    HC: I'm finding absolutely nothing on Google. Did someone request this song? Where did you hear of it? Maybe that person might know?

    Clough: HC also likes long walks on the beach, the soulful sounds of the Backstreet Boys, and piping hot cups of kopi luwak.

    LOL! Wow... you know though... :D

    I know it... for some reason no one can find this song! It was sung at a graduation a while ago and the people that want me to sing requested it. May have to just tell them it's a no-go and find something else...

    Just please not "I Hope You Dance"... had enough of that one! :)

    I just had another thought (perish the thought!) that maybe that particular song that you are looking for might be in the list on the link that I provided above?
