Tonight's drink is just going to be cold, cold beer. Whilst grilling flank steak, there just isn't any other substitute.

Tho' I have a bottle of red open that's going to need to be finished in the next day or two...

Eh, methinks it'll be the amber bock in a chilled glass.

    Hi all,

I'll take a virgin long island ice tea. No alcohol for me tonight, I'm getting the lasik eye surgery tomorrow. YIKES. Alty scared, shiver, sob, boo, hoo.

HChicky and Sneezy - I thought I was the instigator, apparently you two don't need me around. I read all the conversation I missed today and I must say, I'm with Synn, Get a room. Tee, hee, and to think I'm the one who brought (or is it pushed) the two of you together. I have proof, it's all in writing.

KP - I've never had an amber bock, actually, I've never even heard of an amber bock. Is it beer? If so, is it good? Darnit I hate not being able to have one little drink tonight.

    Another kindred spitit!

Christmas morning and easter morning are spent sipping korbel brut diluted with orange juice (1/3 korbel, the rest ice and OJ)... two or three large glasses in and you just are a slug the rest of the day.

Our christmas day menu is mimosas with the best damn waffles ever, oven baked bacon, and strata, followed by more mimosas and napping/movie/more napping.

Can't beat sams club... $8.10 korbel brut and a few big gallons of pulp free OJ. Yum...

It's a michelob product. Brown bottle. My wife doesn't like dark beer, but she likes this one... especially ice cold. The naughty girl never wants a beer of her own.. she just wants the top, cold portion of my beer. But she keeps me around and seems to think I'm cute enough, so its all good.

As for tonights dinner drink, it took a different turn... did grill the flank steak (was WONDERFUL) but went with an open white that needed to be consumed. Complete mismatch of wine and food but like I give a damn.

Standing outside with a fire cooking streak and a glass in my hand on a Friday was good enough for me.

Hello all. Alty... we'll always love you for being the matchmaker of AMHD.

I have no idea what's been going on with my sleep schedule... but I was supposed to be dragged to a ball last night at 10pm.

I passed out around 930pm. Woke up at 3am.. . then I beat myself up to go back to sleep...

So. Drinking in the morning is something I have yet to master... I just can't do it. It's like eating a steak for breakfast... can't do it.

Everyone have amazing plans for the weekend?

I'm an admin at a college. Part of my duties involve manning the front desk.

So... since we're open weekends, each of the 3 of us has to take turns working the weekend shift.

That's why I had Thursday and Friday off, though... just makes for a long week this week.

I REALLY thought about throwing Bailey's into my coffee this morning, but decided I needed to wake up more than I needed that perk.

What REALLY sucks about the weekends is that there's no damned coffee in this place on the weekends. I have my big cup in the mornings, then I have to settle for Mountain Dew the rest of the day.

I have to limit my caffeine intake today. In exactly 3 hours and 9 minutes I'll be on the operating table getting my eyes sliced with a laser. Ooh, that doesn't sound good.

After I get home I'll be sleeping as per Doctors orders, so I won't get to chit chat with you all till Sunday night or Monday, depends how the old baby browns are doing.

Hi HChicky, I'm glad that you're on-line, I didn't get a chance to chat with you yesterday. How are you dear?

    Meh... I'm OK...

As it turned out, my weekend changed once again... I'm at home (rather, I'm at the library :) )

Couldn't make it home... all kinds of factors involved. Sooo... here I am... I ended up sleeping this morning until 10:30! I NEVER sleep that late... think my stress level is finally catching up with me... been quite the week... starting with the ex junk and ending with all of this... wow...

    But, I'm good... You?

    Mmmm... Iced vanilla chai... yumm

Oh, and Corona with lemon is actually quite tasty! :) I tried it in China... course, maybe that's why its good to me... Chinese beer just didn't cut it, in my opinion. I had to have Corona or nothing :) Lemons were my only option... I actually like it! :)
