How do I get the front and top off my washer?
I have a Kenmore 417 that I want to stack with my dryer. How do I get the top off so that I can stack the dryer on top? The manual does not give any answers and I can't find the answer on Sears.com.

I assume that your washer must be a front load, correct? And I have used a small pry bar before. Sometimes I have made damages to the cosmetics, and sometimes not, be careful.

There should be 2 white caps at the bottom of dryer hiding screws..

Remove caps and then the screws... Tilt dryer back and slide forward

To remove it.. also for repair this is good..

Thank you. I was hoping not to cause cosmetic damage. Yes the washer is a front load.

We got the top off the washer by simply taking two screws out of the back panel and then sliding the top towards the back. Thank you for the posts.:) :) :) :)

Frigidaire Front Load Washer [ 1 Answers ]

I have a Frigidaire front load washer and front load dryer. The washer takes forever to wash a load. I actually stood in front of the washer and witness the “one minute” left on the rinse/spin cycle. It was about 5-10 minutes! I tried to cancel the wash and open the door. The washer door...

New G. E front loading washer [ 1 Answers ]

The washer spins slowly, but does not spin fast enough to get rid of the water. The clothes are still very wet at the end of the cycle. What can I do? I guess I should have said that I think this washer is new. It is 14 months old so it is out of waranty with no extended waranty, so it's up...
