    Bankruptcy in mi
    If we had to file bankruptcy in Michigan for medical bills, would we have to sell our home?we are behind on house payments , due to the medical bills

    ?? Maybe, yes and no, it all depends on how much equity you have in your home, there are exemption limits. When filing bankruptcy there can be arrangements to catch up on your payments if you can.

    The main thing is, will you be able to make those paymnets after you file, if yes, great, if no, do you need to include the house??
