Rheem Classic IX Coil evapP/N RPFB-042JAS
Is there any way of repairing a coil evaporator that has a small hole?
If not, where can I go to get a p/n and part , I am having a problem locating the coil for the heat pump. Can I just the dimensions down and find something that will fit?

    Thanks

If it has a small hole it can be brazed shut with # 15 stick alloy.
Naturally you will have to recover the refrigerant in the system, repair coil, change or add liquid line dryer, pressure test, vac down, and recharge.

Most of the above will also have to be done if you replace the coil and if you do decide to replace you will have to have the correct expansion device, piston, flow rater or the system will malfunction.

Usually sealed system service like this is left to a pro.

You might be able to find a different coil but the new ones are bigger than the old usually on the height size.
