    Dryer overheats and shutts off
    My older ge electric dryer overheats and shutts off, is there a sensor or something that can be replaced

We have a stackable fridgidare gallery washer/gas dryer. There is something wrong with the dryer portion of this unit (It will dry, but has problems stopping). The heating element tends to stay on at times causing smoke, yikes!

My 93 Mitsubishi Expo runs good until I get stuck in traffic. Then it has a tendency to overheat especially in extended stop and go traffic. I checked the water and anti-freeze and it's okay. Any ideas anyone? Thanks.
