    Birth control and early period
So I've been on birth control for a year and a half now and I'm not due for my period till next week, but I am full out on my period right now.
I called a nurse and asked her if strong stress and missing a pill could cause me to spot and she said that it could.
I was just wondering if I could be bleeding because my body has gotten too use to the hormone levels in these pills (ortho cyclin) and if I should switch to another brand?
Anyone know anything about this? I'd really appreciate it because I should not be on my period right now.

Well if you missed a pill and were stressed and the nurse already told you that could be why your cycle is off maybe you should try listening to the nurse... your cycle being a couple days off one month is usually nothing. If you switch to another pill you'll likely just throw your cycle off way more and it can take up to a few months to get it back on track

I am listening to her, what I asked is if another problem could be the dosage of the pill.. if the hormones are strong enough or not..
Ive missed pills in the past and this has never happened to me before. I don't want to be taking a birth control that doesn't work on my body.

Has anyone experienced this problem and does anyone know if an insufficient DOSSAGE can cause this?

Insufficient dossage can but I've only heard of it happening if you go from higher dosage to a lower dossage (im not a dr so who knows, maybe it is possible in other situations) but like I said, switching pills tends to throw off your cycle way more and being a little off one month is usually not a big deal. If you'd said "my cycle is so off every month and has been for a while" that would be a totally different case. But it sounds like you just want your cycle to go back to normal, so switching pills just because this one month is a little off would be a bad idea.
