How do I know know if I can have children?
Well, I have been on the Depo-vera needle for almost 4/5 years, but am Of it now since like last October and my periods are off and on, but I'm wondering if I can have a child of my own?? And that's very important to me, cause some day soon I would really like to have a family of my own!! Now I'm just wondering if the needle had crewed everything up, or am I sterile or what is the problem??

Basically Depo Provera stops ovulation completely. It usually takes about 18 months (a year and a half) for all of the medication to be out of your system and for your hormones to be fully adjusted back to their natural state, after stopping the depo.

Now, you have been on it quite a while. It could take you longer than 18 months.

I can't tell you if you are sterile, but if you are concerned, you really need to discuss this with your physician.
