    Specific forms to file?
I've seen the question about what forms to file if you have received a summons but there have not been answers specific enough.

I am going through the same thing, I received a summons from a collection agency for a debt that I am unable to pay. I've contacted a legal clinic and they have suggested filing bankruptcy. This all sounds fine but meanwhile if I don't respond to the summons within 30 days they can garnish my paycheck.

My question is mainly what do I do before this? The summons states clearly that I must respond... well how and what do I respond with? What form?

    Thanks for any help.

The forms and wording have been posted before and someone else will answer that. In the meantime, what is your defense? You need a legal defense in order to respond and inability to pay is not a legal defense. The simple act of filing a response of some sort will not change the timetable.

If you do not have a legal defense this will proceed to judgment and then the creditor will take whatever means are necessary to collect their money.
