    I never filed for 05 or 06
I did not file for 2005 or 2006. I had little or no income and can't even remember where I worked if I did. Where can I obtain this information and can I still file for 2007 this year?

First, regarding filing for 2007 - the answer is yes. Don't let the fact that you didn't file in 2005 or 2006 stop you from doing what you need to do for 2007. If you had little or no income in those previous years you may not have been required to file anyway - for example if your earned income was under $7500 (I don't recall the exact numbers for 2005 or 2006, but you get the idea), you had little or no unearned income, and you weren't claimed as a dependent by someone else.

Ok, here's the deal. Before my husband and I met, I worked at a restaurant for 3 months, March-May of 2007. I didn't expect to be getting a W2 from them, because I got the job through a friend. I didn't fill out an application, my boss didn't ask me for ID to put on file or anything. So, I kind of...

Filed 1040 in 2005 instead of 1040NR: Which form should be filed for 2006? [ 7 Answers ]

Hi, I came to the US in Fall 04 and since then have been continuously on an F-1 student visa. I filed form 1040NR-EZ for 2004, but for 2005 I hired a CPA who (without informing me) filed a 1040 on my behalf. In there, he claimed an education credit (or something to that effect) which effectively...
