Joint custody! Why if Father having been in life.
My child father has not seen my child since she was born. Now that I took him to court for child support he wants to get back at me by filing for joint custody. Also I recently discover that he have over 6 kids with different women one being only a couple of months older than my child. He has done nothing for my child at all and his environment is not safe. What should I do? I don't mind him seeing her with supervising but she can't be with him by herself. I feel like I have full custody of her since I have been the only one taking care of her. What should I do when I go to court? Should I mention that he has other kids that he doesn't take care of? Please help.

How old is you child? If it has been several years... I don't think that he has a chance at getting joint custody assumming that he knew about her since she was born. Just my opinion.

You need an attorney to advise you what you should and can say at the hearing.

You need an attorney badly, as the father of the child he has full right to ask for joint custody ( even full custody) These are his legal rights.

As soon as the child was born you should have filed for custody and support, so the issue of custody has to be determened by the court.
The issue of how many other children he has will not most likely be a issue to visits, but it may lower the amount of child support you will get in some states. To get supervised visits you are going to have to prove he is a danger to the child. Not your opinon but real evidence that will be allowed in court
