No lease Florida law Landlord rights
Hi. I have rented a room (within my home) with no written lease tenant to pay weekly. Utilities were not included in rent. The tenant is now past due on her rent and electric. Also, when I confronted her about the balance she verbally threatened me with bodily harm. What are my rights? I wish to have her out of my home as quickly as possible.

You need to get an eviction notice. Tell them she has verbally threatened you with bodily harm.
Since she has threatened you you might be able to get her out quicker.

Yes, you will need to go to housing court and have her served with official notice of eviction,

Also you should call the police if she threatens you, so it is a record of the reports.

If you have to call the police tell them you want a record and that you will be stopping at the police station for the report. Often I have noticed that they do not write up a report for such things and then it makes you look bad when you are trying to back yourself up with a police report.
