    Creditor refusing payment
Is it true if a creditor refuses a payment, the debt is now paid in full?

I've never heard of that. Why would a creditor refuse a payment to begin with? Either way I doubt that you're off the hook just because of a refused payment. The debt may have been written off. But in that case it's probably been turned over to a collection agency who'll now try to collect from you.

No it only means that the debt is in default and the creditor requires payment in full not a payment plan.

But no it does not mean it is paid in full.

No, this is part of the folklore that if you offer the creditor any sum of money as payments the creditor has to accept those payments and cannot move against you because you are making payments.

In theory you could pay someone fifty cents a month, they could refuse it and the debt would be paid in full - no way, not true.
