My girlfriend is Bipolar!
My girlfriend is bipolar and for about a year she was off her medication and now for the last 2 weeks I have gotten her back on them, her ex would not let her take them so she pretty much fell apart. She was fine when we first started dating but then about 2 months into our relationship she just changed where nothing mattered, well I talked her through that time and then it happened again and she told me that she needed help after she told me that she didn't care for me and all the other stuff that comes along with it, well I didn't give up on her and I got her medication, well today the same thing happened again and this past weekend we had a really long conversation about me and her and everything was great once again but tonight it was like nothing was there all over again.. She also tells me that she doesn't remember a lot of things that she says but she say she really does care about me.. I love her very much and I'm willing to do anything to help her but I really don't know where to go from here, I have gotten her the medication so where do I go now? Is this going to be a never ending battle or is like scared to actually get more help or what is going on?? Does she counseling as well?

Is she actually taking the medication. A lot of times bipolar people will not take their medication, thinking they shouldn't depend on something. You need to make sure she takes it. And also make sure it's helping. Part of having the disorder is being completely normal/sane for awhile and then freaking out/insane afterward. So please, make sure she's taking the medication and get her to a doctor to have her reevaluated.

Bi polar means basically pretty much the same as manic depressant where they go high and low on their emotions. So yes this will most likely be a never ending battle.
If you want to stay with her I would suggest studying up on bi polar.
If she isn't taking her meds regularly or if she needs them adjusted or changed regularly she is more likely to the mood swings. Often they will become use to the dosage and need to have it adjusted or they will become immune to a certain
Med and need switched to one that helps them better. So it is important to get her reevaluated regularly if she is having problems

I'm really not sure, she called and got them refilled but she is making a docs app to go back in but she says that I have to go with her because she will lie to the doc so I'm willing to do all this for her...

I was going to suggest that. Then you can tell the doc that she is still having 'episodes' and he should be able to tell if she needs her meds switched or upped a dosage.

My ex was bi-polar and he was always one extreme or another but he was also drinking and doing all kinds of drugs so I don't know real well how to distinguish what was the bi-polar issues from addiction issues.
