Does it drain out right away or does it drain out over a period, say 5 minutes?

There is a little hose on mine that feeds of the valve that fills the tank and it goes down a tube that fills the bowl while the tanks being filled

It takes about 45 seconds to drain the bowl, after the filling of tank is completed.
Ok, you flush, the bowel flushes completely, the tank refills and the bowl refills. Over the next 45 seconds the water in the bowel slowly disappears. Is that correct?

After water in bowl has mysteriously disappeared, hold down float in tank until bowl refills again. Do not flush.

If water disappears again you have a cracked toilet. If it does not you probably have a blocked vent pipe.

Toilet bowl water level drains out [ 2 Answers ]

The water in the toilet bowl drains out to its lowest level in approximately 15 minutes after flushing. I replaced the flapper, but the problem continued. I then purchased a kit to replace all seals between the tank and the bowl as well as the mechanisms in the tank. The toilet flushes and the...

Toilet bowl drains slow [ 1 Answers ]

The tank and bowl fill after a flush, but during the flush the tank empties and water in the bowl slowly swirls and fills up the bowl more than it drains. If I take a bucket of water and dump it directly in the bowl, it flushes and the bowl empties. So no clogs there. I've also replaced the wax...

Summerizing plumbing drains in hot dry climate [ 1 Answers ]

What solution can I pour down my plumbing drains when I leave my winter home for six months? When I am gone the temperature reaches 120 and stays in the high 80s during the night. When one winterizes a home, one uses a solution of RV antifreeze, but this would evaporate in the summer.
