Statutes of Limitations on Debt Collection
Is there a Statutes of Limitations on unsatisfied judgements in the state of Florida? My ex-husband got me into a mess back in 2002. I know I should have know better and should only blame myself. But this is a lot of money that we are talking about. I found out about this because I was trying to get a loan and this came up on my credit report. Apparently is accruing interest until the debt is paid. I don't have this money. I live from pay check to pay check. What can I do?

Unfortunately, you live in a State that has one of the Highest Statutes regarding Judgment.

20 Years! That's a long time to accrue interest.

You can try to make a payment arrangement with them, and they can take several other courses of action on your bank accounts, and some personal property, if they choose to do so.

    Good luck!
