    Where is my furnace filter?
I have a Ruud Silhouette Gas Furnace, Model # UGDG-05EAUER and can't find the filter. I removed both panels on the front and nothing. It appears to be missing. It looks like it should have been under the blower, but I'm not sure. Can anyone tell me where it should be and what size I need?

I also noticed there is a little bit of sediment inside, how do I clean this out?

The filter will generally be between the cold-air return and the blower. The return air can come from below, above, or beside the furnace. Determine that, and you should be able to find a thin door or panel that will reveal the filter.

Some newer houses put the filter inside the house, behind the return air grille. There should be little levers or some such to allow you to open grille without a screwdriver if this is the case.

    Good Luck,
