    Amending taxes
    Hi, I was wondering if I can still claim a loss on my taxes this year for losing my house to a foreclosure in the year 2000. I never claim any lose at all??

    Your home is a personal asset. Losses on personal assets are nondeductible.

    Loss for any personal property is not deductible.
