Sudden loss of water pressure at kitchen faucet

The water pressure in my new house (3 yrs old) is perfect. Last week I did a load of dishes in the dish washer which went fine. The same day, following the complete cycle of the washer, I noticed the water pressure at the kitchen sink faucet had diminished 50%. Wondering if it has something to do with the dish washer... Is there something I can do without having to hire out? Keep in mind I am a senior citizen on a fixed budget! Thanks to any who can help.

The first thing and the easiest thing to check is the aerator, that's the thing on the end of the spout. It has screens in it to keep the water from splashing. Unscrew and clean or replace. Most of the time they can be removed by hand but a tool may be required. If you use a pliers try not to scratch finish. A senior may have difficulty removing by hand. Try to get someone with a better grip to remove.
