    How do we file our taxes
    I have been unemployed for the last year and my husband has been supporting us both does he file for head of household or what?

    Yep, I would say head of household. I used Turbo Tax and it guides you to select best criteria like this. Try it out, totally free online and only charged $30 if you decide to file through them.

    Sorry, you can file MArried Filing Jointly or Married Filing Separately.

    To file Head of Household, you must be unmarried or "considered unmarried".

    As Married filing Jointly you will get $10,700 standard deduction and $6,800 exemptions (for both). It does not matter if one spouse did not have any income.
