    No. The W2 are required by law to be in your hands by early February.

    You can get everything completed on your forms and file as soon as you get them.

    Actually, there are W-2 forms on the tax software.

    If you know your employer's tax ID number (usually from the previous year's W2, you COULD use the last check stub to file.

    But if your employer changed the tax ID number (happens in mergers or takeovers all the time), your tax return could be rejected.

    WHAT'S THE HURRY? You will get the W-2 in about a week. Chill until then!
