You should get yourself a good criminal attorney in Texas as you have a huge problem ahead of you to get your license back and trying to do it yourself just may have you spending some time in jail.

It seems to me you will still have to complete the course. So my guess is you should start with the 12 step program. Maybe you can work out that while you are in the program that you may take the course too. Can you get yourself in the program then show proof of that for the course.
Ask the DMV (department of motor vehicles) for answers as far as your licence goes.
Get legal advise for the probation issue.

The one good issue, most likely Virginia will not extridite you from Texas to VA. Now they can, but most likely they will not. The bad news until you clear this up, you will never get a drivers license. If you are stopped, they will detain you until they see if VA wants you or not. If they don't want to take you right then you will be released, but you can be stopped again and again and again, and they can check on the warrant anytime they want.

Also what do you mean the 12 step plan would not let you in? AA will let anyone in that walks in the door, I could go to a metting tonight if I just walk in and go. And if you talk with their couselors, they can help be sure the program is documented.

So what you need to do is get an attorney, they will contact the PO department and make arrangements for you to pay any fines due and complete your program. But until you are released from VA, you will not be getting a drivers license
