I am 52 and the last week I've had very bad pains in my bottom of my back and the two sides.when I lie down on the bed to go to sleep the pain makes me feel sick more if I lie on my side and this is both sides if I lie on my back it seems to be better for a bit it keeps me up most of the night and when I get out of bed it feels better can anyone help me with this and tell me what it could be.thank you

Would it feel better if you lie on your back on a firm surface with your knees over a pillow or up on a chair? If so, you might have a bulging disc. Or you could have kidney stones. Only your doctor can assess this. He might be able to figure it out by questioning you and poking you here and there. You might need x-rays or, more likely, an MRI.

Hello wondergirl its funny that you say that as when I get up from my bed it and sit up in my computer chair it is better the pain is stll in the bottom of my back but not as bad.and no pain in my sides
