You will need to fill in the good people who may have an answer to your question with more information.

An expongement on what? Felony, misdemeanor?

They need quite a bit more info if you want a decent answer.

    Hello glad:

You expunge an offense to HIDE it. You're not going to be able to HIDE it from the military. In fact, you shouldn't even try. You should TELL them about it and hope they'll let you in anyway.

No there is no explungement that will hide your arrest and record from the military, The NCIC report on criminal arrests and convictions will always show your record, but an explungement merely hides it from non police or national security background searches.

But as mentioned, youi have a poor attitude, they were trying to help you asking for more info, there is in law seldom a pure yes and no answer,
So you are not wanting a good answer, since you refuse to profide the needed info.

I think the military can see if any case was expunged. Having it expunged hides it on background checks for jobs and things like that, but I think the military can see it all regardless, after all they have to know everything since they are putting the safety of fellow soldiers in your hands. I agree with excon, tell them everything and be honest. It's better to be up front. If you did something you regret, then just tell them that. Even if you can't get in, they will appreciate you honesty in telling them right away so that you don't waste their time. Good luck and hope you can get in!

Ok, on a explungment all that happens is there is a notice put in the physcial file, and next there is a notice put on the NCIC computer files.

IT does not actually erase or change any other record, so that when the computer operator prints out the record before they give it to someone, they edit out any explunged material, But the material is always there to view by police and by anyone doing a national secuirty level serach.
