Right now you could possibly be causing damage to your liver due to the high levels of acetaminophen contained in Lortab. This can cause irreversible damage. Also, if you are taking 6 per day, this is way too many. If you are getting this medicine from your doctor, he should know better than to prescribe this much over such a long period.

You need to see your doctor and have liver function tests done as you have been on this medicine way too long for it not to have done any damage. For what reason did you start this medicine as this is essentially a pain killer and is not meant for long time use such as 2 years.

I started using it because of a problem with my back, and the worse thing is that I don't take 6 I take it 6 x a day more than one way more.

I have had severe back pain having been in two major auto accidents so I am quite familiar with back problems. I do not take any pain medication now and have not taken any for many years. You need to have your doctor re-evaluate you and your meds pronto. You are addicted to this and unfortunately there is no quick fix here.

You might ask for drug addiction treatment from your doctor. It is not something you chose to happen, so don't blame yourself at all.

Don't live with the secret. Seek treatment.

I've heard of Suboxone-It's a medicine PRESCRIBED so that you essentially can detox off the narcotics without experiencing the worst of the physical withdrawal symptoms, though I'm not sure what all the symptoms are... I know it binds to the same receptors in your brain as an opiate/narcotic w/o the "high" or euphoric feelings and that it's made specifically so that it can't be altered by someone to use to get high... I think I read it's a pill you place under your tongue? No expert here, by any means... I hope u made it to the appointment! A doctor who specializes in addictions/rehab/detox is going to be your best source of information... I sincerely hope that all is well with you... You are in My prayers.

Good Luck-Keep us posted if you want! I'm sure many of us here would love to support you as you fight this battle to take back your life! You Can Do It!
