    Dog shaking like seizures
My daschund started shaking with mouth open and can't shut mouth during this. When stop shaking, the mouth doesn't close right. What could be the cause of this?

Ma'am you really need to take your dog to the vet. It may be one of many things a seizure, stroke, allergic reaction.. only a vet could tell you.

These things always happen on a weekend. While it is fresh in your mind write down all the details. Even after examining the dog, the vet may or may not be able to say what caused it or how to prevent future problems. So get it to the vet next week and hope for the best. You should seek emergency care if it has another such spell before then.

Seizures? [ 3 Answers ]

Okay, Imay be being completely parinoid being that this is my first puppy. But my 12 week old Golden-Lab sleeps a lot, which I know is okay, but when he lays next to me on the couch I will randomly look over at him and see that he is twitching out of control, almost seizure like. This just became...

My fiance's dog Sam has seizures. It's really really sad! He's a fairly big yellow lab, he weighs about 60 pounds and is about 2 feet tall.. He has about 2-3 weekly. He has really really bad ears, and his family thinks it's because of his ears.. but I think differently! His ears are really swollen...

Dreaming vs. Seizures? [ 5 Answers ]

Just recently, I've noticed that Trink does some violent twitchy jerky movements of her legs when she's lying down resting. I'm thinking that it's just that "running in their sleep" thing that dogs do, but her eyes aren't closed when she does it. They are sort of slitted, with part of the white...
