    Kenmore washer spin and fill at the same time
    Our Kenmore Elite is 4 years old. The washer spins and fills at the same time on the last cycle. The water mostly drains out but not always. The technician said it was the transmission and said it would cost $400 to fix. The warranty is for the gearcase. Is this the same thing and should I insist that sears honor the warranty. The warranty is for parts only and not labor. Thanks.

    The tech gave you correct info. You just need to weight out the option of spending $400 for repairs or adding a little more to replace the unit. Good Luck
