Is water baseboard bleeding required with auto bleeders?
I am replacing a bad boiler. Some of my baseboards are extremely difficult to get to due to built in furniture. If auto bleeder valves are in place, is it necessary to bleed each baseboard, or will the system eventually complete the process?

Auto vents work well. Get the float kind only. The coin vents can leak if you cannot see them behind furniture.

I have a 5 zone baseboard hot water heating system. When the thermostats call for heat and the zone valves open, there is a loud thumping and the pipes vibrate. This is a momentary problem when the valve first opens and has only recently happened. The system is 2 years old with no other problems.
