I'm not sure if I can have children.
I'm 19 and I have been told by my doctor that I am unable to have children. I have been sexually active with my husband without protection for about a month now and now I am suddenly having many symptoms of being pregnant.
I really hope that my doctor is wrong and I can, but I took a home pregnancy test and it showed up negative. My period is due in a matter of days and I just hope that I am pregnant. What should I do? I have been waiting on my period, but I know that even if I do start on time there is a small chance that I could still be pregnant.
I guess I am just freaking out because I can't explain what is happening to my body.
    Please Help...

Seriously, could any of the symptoms be related to your strong desire to become pregnant? Here is one possible site that might be of interest.

Okay I must say that if I was pregnant it would be a blessing, but I really don't think that the time is right. I do not wish to be pregnant at this time. I want to be able to have children more then anything that's all really.
I started having pregnant like symptoms about a week ago and then I took a test and it show negative. I was just wondering if there was a chance that I still might be pregnant even though the test relieved my worries. Should I still worry about being pregnant?

Should you worry about being pregnant? Well, if you are having sex yes. The doctor said you could not have any children... do you know why? What was the diagnosis?

Pregnancy symptoms and premenstrual symptoms can mirror each other, and be exactly the same. Unfortunately you are now playing the waiting game and have to wait until you miss your period to test properly.

After you have missed your period for about a week, take a test using first morning urine. If the test still comes up negative then it would be time to make a doctors appointment.

My doctor found traces of cancer cells in my cervix about six months ago.
She also warned me of the unlikely hood of conceiving due to the damage caused by the cancer.
I guess I felt like there really wasn't anything to worry about when it came to the pregnant problem... but now with the symptoms I just don't know.

If that is the case, you need to contact your doctor for advice on this. Unfortunately since we don't know your entire medical history, it is impossible for us to help you via the internet.

I agree with J9... you should consult your doctor.

My sister went through the same thing you did (at least from what you have said). She has cancer cells in her cervix. They had to laser out the cells and some of her cervix. They said they weren't sure if she was going to be able to carry a child. Now that didn't mean she could get pregnant. It was that because of her weakened cervix, they weren't sure if she did get pregnant, that her cervix would be strong enough to hold the baby.

But she is 20 weeks pregnant :) Her cervix is holding just fine and she didn't need to have a stitch to close it :)

But since we don't know your medical history, this is something you really need to discuss with your doctor.
