Recently, I reconnected with a young woman I knew while in college. Though we didn't date (I was dating others at the time and her school was two states away), there was an obvious attraction and mutual high regard. During an initial date we decided to plan a trip to celebrate the new year, and it seemed like things were going well. A few days ago, I went through the details of the trip with her, and gave her all the travel info and necessary documents because I was on standby for an assignment that would require me to meet her at our destination. A few days later my assignment was canceled, and I made certain to make her aware as soon as possible. When I called, I left a message. It's been six days since we last spoke/text. We normally at least text each other back and forth daily. I've reached out to her in everyway imaginable, probably embarrassing myself in the process, but to no avail. It's like everything was going great, and she just disappeared. She hasn't turned up missing. Any suggestions?

I had a girlfriend like that and found it distressing as well. Some of them have no conscience. Call the police.
