    Wages already garnished
    OK I'm in California and my wages are already being garnished for child support... can they be garnished for anything else while this garnishment is still in effect..

    I think so but they can only garnish up to a certain percent.

    There is a gross amount that can be deducted. If the child support meets the pct, then I doubt if they can take more.

    There is a max amount , each state has its own laws, and over that percent they can not take more.

    So it all depends is your current garnishment at the max or not.
