    Honeywell to Noma Programmable
I have a Honeywell T834C1996 thermostat running a Clare Natural gas furnace.

The specs on the furnace are as follows.
    Model #LBG-80
    Code # 124-03
    Eff - 80+
    Natural gas forced air
There is a linear limit switch wired in this system. It is a Therm-o-disc #10H14.
I have a split system - furnace inside & air outside.

I am trying to install a Noma programmable thermostat model # 52-2558-8.
I have 5 wires coming up from my furnace.
At the furnace I have the following connections: R,G C,Y,W
    Here is what is connected.
From the Honeywell thermostat I have the Rc (red wire) to R, the green wire to G, the yellow wire to Y, the Black wire to the gas valve & the white wire is spliced into one of the wires coming from the Thermodisc.
From the air unit outside I have 2 wires, one(white) going to C & the other(black) is going to the Y.( 2 wires on Y)
I have no wires going to the W.
I have jumped from R to C & have 24 V. I tried to jump R to W but got nothing (no wires to W)

With the Honeywell thermostat the heat & cool works fine.
When I installed the Noma as per the wiring diagram I have the cooling working OK. In the heat cycle I have the thermostat keeping time & programmed settings. The problem I am having is it shows that the furnace is ON but, the furnace DOES NOT come on.
I have read many different scenarios with the Noma thermostats but I am at a loss why this is not working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanking you in advance!!

Look at the sticky notes at the beginning of this board.
