Don't want to lose her because I smothered her.
My girfriend and I have been together for a little over 2 months. We're both 26yrs old. I think I have a problem with anxiety or something. She has some commitment issues. She told me today that she doesn't think it's going to work with us because I've been smothering her by calling way too much and texting her and stuff when she's busy. She says she needs her space and I already knew this but some how still ended up calling and texting her like an idiot. She says that we should start over as friends. I really want to be with her and I'm willing to try and change this about me because it annoys me as well. What should I do or say to her? I really want to stay together with her. HELP!!

Honestly, Maybe she does not feel the same way about you as you do her. And she wanted a way out. There are so many different possibilities here. Just know that just because she wants to start over and just be friends. Does not mean you have a chanch to make things right and get back into girlfriend category.

It is up to you if you want to be just friends or not, do not expect more than that.

P.S. By the way, the harder you try to keep her, the more your going to smother her and lose her for sure. Time for you to back off, and respect her decision.

Plus honestly 2months is not that long. You need to cool it, this will be a learning experience for the future and It is good that you have learned something.

I am going through the same thing with my boyfriend except I am the one being smothered. Everyone needs their space and privacy. If you care about her and really don't want to lose her do what she asks. Here is a couple things you could do.
    1. Instead of calling everyday, call 1 or 2 times a week and see how she is.
    2. Ask her what she wants and listen
    3. Start over as friends and invite her on group outings(but don't introduce her as your girlfriend, just a friend)
    4. And the rest is up to her

A relationship goes both ways. But some people just need more space and time than others and if you truly love her you will respect that.
