I was married twice over twenty years ago, and divorced. I've met someone and would like to marry but have no divorce decrees. I've done searches, but both prior husbands live in states with no way of checking for divorce decrees if you don't know what county they obtained the divorce in. As neither one of the gentlemen in question have responded to letters asking for their assistance, what else can I do? I live in PA.

Where did you live when you filed for the divorces? You had to file in the county you lived in, so which city or town did you reside? Or did your then husbands file and you were absent? If you know the city or town, it is easy to find the county. Or am I missing something here?

I filed for neither divorce. I received no paperwork and signed none.

So where the divorces granted because of some time frame where you did not respond or they could not find you? Sometimes people move around so much they just get lost, so to speak.
