    Underground drain branch not blocked
    Hello

There is a disused drain branch under an extension to my house which I need to block.

The drain is fist sized diameter in pottery type material about 3 foot under ground

The drain is used, but the branch of it is not used and I need to block it to stop in particular rodents going up it.

There is a manhole 6 foot away

Is there a sleeve/ sheath I could push up the inside of the pipe to obscure the dis-used branch please? It does not need to seal , just to cover up the old branch

    Thanks

If you're asking if there is a operation that sleeves a sewer line the answers yes. Sewers are sleeved with a plastic liner to avoid digging it up and replacing it. I'm not sure if using it to cap off a branch is feasible or not.
As a rule we dig down and disconnect the branch and cap off the fitting. Regards, Tom
