There are some very nasty bitter people around, on this forum.

Thank you to those who gave me some encouragement. As for the rest of you, I don't think any of you should be offering people advice....you're all so bitter from your own experiences that you clearly have no interest in people being happy.

So I've given false hope now have I? What by TELLING THE TRUTH??? What sort of nasty people are you? Seriously? People asked me to keep in touch a month back, and this is what I did.

To those of you who have not been offended by my "alleged" happy ending, then good for you, and I hope its helped.

The rest of you, quite frankly, can whistle.

I agree there are some people who don't seem to think there can be a positive ending like yours. However I think it is valid to an extent some people will look at this and say OH MAN I CAN GET THEM BACK! Then they will break their NC and that isn't good. Happy ending can be you get back2gether or it can be you found the 1 :>)

Yeah personally it is nice to read the success stories. I know myself it didn't make me want to break NC but I can see how it might make the people holding onto the false hope think they should try again (and most likely be hurt).

You did accomplish what hundreds of people here have posted asking how to do though, so congratulations. I don't think the people telling you to be careful are bitter or trying to jinx you though, its out of a genuine concern for things repeating themselves that's all.

I don't think anyone is being bitter of your story so I wouldn't take anything personally. I think you might be reading too much into it. I think you just have to remember for like 99% of the population on this site, they will not get their ex back (which is not necessarily a bad thing at all). There's just a lot of people really hurting right now the way you were a month ago (remember how bad it sucked?) and the last thing we want to do is to encourage anyone to sit around and wait for their ex to come back to them. You handled your break-up the right way, in my opinion, but we just don't want to guarantee to anyone that if they handle their break-up the same way it will result in the same ending. In terms of advice, I think what everyone is trying to say is just to take it slow and be ready for the bumps in the road to come cause it's a long journey. Good luck!
