    30 day notice in NM
    HI,

    I'm in Gallup New Mexico and my1 year rental agreement is up and now I'm on a month to month basis. Rental period begins on the first of every month. My question is that if I can give a 30 day notice on November 15 and move out by December 15? Can I pay for rent up until December 15 instead of a full month?

    Generally the safer bet is give one full rental period as notice. But we have links to state laws at the top of this forum. You should be able to find a definitive answer at the NM website.
